Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Writer_Commentary I don't know why I ever started watching this show. I have seen every episode, but I wish that I could go back in time and prevent myself from wasting all the free time. There are much better things that I should have been doing with my life instead of watching this dumb TV show. I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would like this show. There is too many questions that go unanswered and never will be. This show doesn't even have an ending. It quickly went nowhere fast and not even the writers seemed to understand what should be happening on the show. I know that this is science fiction and it is unrealistic, but that's no excuse for crappy storytelling. For every question there are more and more questions and ultimately, no answers. If you've never seen this show, don't waste your time. I already have.
gkingxx Listen, I don't take much of my time to write about shows on T.v. because I have always been into just movies. However, I have been proved wrong on how I feel about T.v. shows. I have to admit that I got caught (in 2002), with this show since it was shown twice daily back then on TNT. I quickly became a loyal fan to what the creators were trying to convey... because this production is so much different than any other production I can relate to. I've got season four, and I can say that the creators have outdone themselves allowing the Center to twist all reality to a max.Can fully relate to how the Center perverts all aspects to suit it's own evil ends.Definitely, a must - watch . . . for the person who always thought they were different! People in bondage to the mundane. . .probably will not understand or be able to appreciate being brought to the reality that this production reveals.C'mon, good people, it's time for justice and innocence to redeem this world. . . let's see how it's done. . .
jay The downside to this series was simply that Jarod would realistically fail in every case since he uses tactics that would be thrown out in court. If you thought he was going to torture you and kill you, for example, you'll admit to killing John F Kennedy with a tea cup and a blowtorch. Any confessions would be thrown out. Also, Jarod always assumes there's an evil-doer everywhere he goes. Someone dies an "accidental" death and Jarod assumes it's never accidental. I would have liked an episode where Jarod was wrong, and it really was accidental.I was also disappointed that Miss Parker would forget everything that made her sympathetic (Broots helping her personally time and time again, Sydney's past, Jarod's help with her mother's death, Angelo's secret, etc), but that wasn't so harsh. It fit well with Andrea Parker's snobby character. That said, I found the series enjoyable. Jarod picks a new favorite food in most of the episodes (always reverting back to the old school Pez when needed), creates a new persona, and solves a problem. There's plenty of action, mafia-tactics, bargaining, and a showdown between the dreaded Mr Raines and everyone else.My single favorite scene was the end of Back From the Dead Again (from season 2), where Jarod dresses up for halloween as the scariest creature his mind can fathom: Mr. Raines.I haven't seen any of the movies, though I want to see the first one. The second movie sounds hokey to me. That's prolly why they didn't get the funding for a third movie.
xhispage In the last TV episode THEY Didn't DIE! It's called a clifhanger. In The Pretender 2001 , they are still alive , and you can see what happened after the train exploded. So , stop crying Cinderella :D I strongly advice you to watch that movie. BTW. I really like the movies , I keep getting the illusion that Jarod and Miss. Parker have some sort of love / hate relationship :DAnyways , I hope they change their minds ,and continue the series :DI also like Mojor Charles , he really has a good role. Why do comments have to be at least 10 lines? Thats just not right! I have an opinion ,a nd I have to right to voice that opinion in any way I like it , long or short :D HERES A MESSAGE TO THE CREATOR OF THE PRETENDER : PLEASE CREATE ANOTHER SEASON OF THE PRETENDER!!!!
