Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

When I heard the female comedian, star of Live at the Apollo and various comedy panel shows, e.g. Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, was getting her own show I was very interested. I assumed it was going to be a standard comedy chat show, like Mrs. Merton or something, but it isn't really like that at all, in fact it is more clever and interesting than that concept. Sarah Millican presents this show in which she performs her terrific stand up routine in front of an audience, where she talks about two of her favourite types of television. There is a small chat show element in which she brings in a guest who knows about the show type being talked about and mocked, and she also chats to her own father on Skype with the big head camera to get advice about something. Genres of television programmes she has joked about have included wildlife, dating, costume drama, survival, food/cooking, property, fashion, sport, entertainment, crime and medical drama. Guests who have appeared on the show have included Tracey Cox, Simon Callow, Charley Boorman, Sarah Beeny, Clare Balding, Louie Spence and Dr. Pixie McKenna. Sarah Millican is a great choice to host this different style comedy chat show with stand up element, it is funny, it is witty, it is simple and it is easy to enjoy. Very good!
