Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

ElessarAndurilS I knew The Secret Circle was cancelled after 1 season because I watched it after the fact on Netflix. My question now is WHY IN THE WORLD was that what happened? The show took its time in developing the real underlying major story, in fact not establishing it until the season finale of Season 1. That is the sad thing though, after 22 episodes we learn that all the detail that went into the season that had some flaws and at time seemed tedious in revealing detail we get the reward that it was worth it!!! Yes it suffered from some typical writing issues like all teen drama's do which is making 15 and 16 year old's lives seem like 20-22 year old people in school sometimes if they feel like it, doing what they want, when they want with booze served to them at every restaurant.Thing is that made this show different was that it truly did drop in clue's through the way and in the last 5 episodes unloaded a bundle of startling news that the main character, Cassie who was struggling between good and bad or good and black magic most of the season we learn that her father truly was an evil master mind who used a whole generation to turn the circle to a complete circle of dark magic witches all stemming from his blood line and give them phenomenal power. Problem as they left it was that the two we know of were good in their hearts and the 4 to be introduced we don't know but it establishes the base story for a MAJOR good vs. evil in Season 2 with little tinkering. Simply have 1 of the new 4 being good at heart and then maybe 1 or 2 who struggle so that his masterminded evil group is really torn and in fighting between them as to whether they should be good or evil.Would of, could of, should have... but we won't ever know because after one of the best first season building and finale's I've seen in what was a fairly lightweight story they had created a story line that had a lot of potential. Thing was Season 1 was pretty good in the process. And with the two daughters that discovered daddy's being evil and killing him at the end of Season 1 there was no evil mastermind to force the group in the dark direction when the story picked up; the battle was there to initiate in Season 2 except there being none to continue it. Viewers loss. The show was simply far to good to only give it one season, single season shows are for lame flops and the Secret Circle was very far from a lame flop as it entertained and while not perfect was good enough to get pretty good. So many bad shows go on forever and some good to, but so many mediocre ones make it when this show had potential and they just built it to a good launching point for future story lines and folded. Bad call, lot of potential blown.

Anna Andersson It is too bad that The Secret Circle got canceled back in 2011. The show was just starting up and had a lot of potential with several good actors. CW really missed out on an amazing show, I can't believe that they renewed "Beauty and the Beast" instead. Luckily enough, we're able to see Britt Robinson in several blockbusters this season, Shelley Henning in MTV's "Teen Wolf" and Phoebe Tonkin in both "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals".I will watch season 1 of "The Secret Circle" over and over again and continue to read the books in the series. I'm jealous of those who still haven't watched the show, so enjoy! You won't be disappointed if your into the teen fantasy romance genre.

Shopaholic35 Why did they have to cancel this show. I cannot honestly believe it had anything to do with low ratings as it is just too good. There are plenty of other CW shows that couldn't hold a candle to this one but they gave them a second season order. I am completely unimpressed that another great show will be finished up on a cliffhanger.It's kind of like The Craft but with a few subtle differences. Overall though I am glad that I have finally watched this show. There are no typical vampires and werewolves in this one like many other shows and movies at the moment. It focuses on a new supernatural being. They have also setup the storyline really well so there are plenty of directions they can take and it keeps you guessing. Unfortunately I guess we will never really get to see how good it could have been.

Daiana Rus For sure, everything goes too fast in this show, but they shouldn't be allowed to start something this awesome (we must admit it's a great story, and every episode makes you wanna see the next one), just to cancel it at the end of the 1st season. I so wish they would continue it, because I just can't get used to the idea that this will not be continued... This show is one of my favorites, and if Santa exists, what I want for next Christmas is a fresh new episode of The Secret Circle ♥! Please Santa! No, seriously, it is a great show, the actors chosen for the characters are just great, they act perfectly perfect, the plot is amazing, and it's finally a show based on something else than vampires and werewolves! I desperately hope that one day somebody will consider finishing this show up! Cause I would die for other episodes!
