Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
davidviera-41167 Yeah this type of idea of a guy who created Ren and Stimpy is something you really didn't expect to turn out to be like this I'll give some credit for giving some good slapstick and story concept but most of the animation is done too cheap by using Flash animation making it less and less of a classic show and more of a different cartoon even though there's some good things in it a lot of it doesn't seem to be done right but like you'd expect Tom and Jerry classic films will always outstand the Reboots. (But not the Tom and Jerry Tales version that one was pretty good)
aldi-97 Even though the stories are quite the same, some added details changed this cartoon in a great way for many people, but not for me.Maybe the ones that used to watch these old MGM cartoons will never get adapted to these ones, and that is exactly what happens to me. I strongly believe that animation is cheaper than it was, which, for the ones of us who have seen the old episodes, is totally noticeable. However, if we can leave this cons by the side, we will be able to enjoy a nice show provided by a new production; kids may enjoy watching the adventures of these friends who, without caring about their differences, always help each-other if necessary!
morantjavonte When I first saw commercials of this, I thought it looked lame. But I watched about 5 episodes online and they turn out to be really nice. I watch it on TV at times. Its Really entertaining and funny. I don't like the animation much but it's still not that bad. Tom and Jerry are still funny as usual, Toodles/Tuffy still looks cute, and I really love Spike. He is a Brave but dumb dog. I also like how they have some new supporting characters who make more than one appearance every once in a while. Overall it's very nice and don't listen to these haters who I'm sure have only watched one episode.
ikrani Seriously, after years of cheap flash animation replacing cel and CGI on the CN airwaves, did you really expect Warner Bros to honor the legacy of the late great William Hanna and Joseph Barbera? Did you really expect them to make a clever slapstick-powered comedy cartoon that DIDN'T cut corners to lower costs?I only saw the first episode, and I'm very disappointed. Gone is the well-thought out comedy that made Hanna and Barbera's classic shorts genius, to be replaced by half-baked gags that miss every opportunity to make me laugh. Gone is the exaggerated style of Hanna, Barbera, and even Chuck Jones, to be replaced by the same watered-down flash animation Warner Bros execs have a fetish for. It is not a good sign when a college student with little more than colored paper, a tripod-mounted camera, and limited stop-motion programming can make a more entertaining short than a show produced by one of the wealthiest cinema companies in the world.I would comment more on the writing, as no doubt people are thinking, "But cartoons don't need to be well-animated to be good, just well-written," if not for the fact that this animation is so lazy that it's distracting. When Tom was making trouble for Spike (the dog), all I was thinking was, "That hand fan from three scenes ago kept changing shape..." In a slapstick cartoon, good animation is a must if one wants to properly convey the hyperactive antics of one's characters, something Warner Bros seems to have forgotten. What I can say on the writing is that it's far less family-friendly than the originals. Yes, the originals had Tom smoking and setting up death traps and chasing girl cats, but he can get away with that since he's the pseudo-villain of the duo. And, at the end of each episode, he always got his just desserts. Here, however, Tom's underhanded tactics and morally wrong behavior actually win out over the innocent and well-meaning Spike, who is punished not once but TWICE for Tom's actions. What kind of message does THAT send: that it's okay to wreck your house and make a mess of the tableware as long as you have a scapegoat to pin the blame on?Also, Tom no longer has the same yell. ... Oh God, it's Tom and Jerry The Movie all over again!
