Wonderful character development!

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

This series shows the viewer just enough passion and originality, to get you interested. But then it turns around and give us characters and plots, which should only impress a child. Granted, the child actors are good. But if you write a plot, that will only work if every responsible adult acts immature reckless and unintelligent to the point of being children themselves, then you have a badly written story! I know that many people will still be able to enjoy these shows, in the same way that a lot of people still go and see Michael Bay movies, despite their flaws. The Whispers don't work for anyone who wish for intelligently written characters and plots. But for those who can ignore the lack of effort, on these points, will still find an intriguing emotional drama. I am not one of those people.I see such potential in the Whispers! The concept of invading earth, through the manipulation and control of children, is a very appealing idea, to me. This could have been turned into a truly creepy and engaging story, if the kids were circumventing intelligent responsible adults and government agencies. It could also have worked as a dark comedy, if the adults were dumb, because they were all a result of putting Donald Trump and his constituents in charge of running America.Sci-fi has it tough. Reason being that it has a smaller audience. Most good shows don't get the ratings they need to satisfy the greed pervading the American entertainment industry. The Whispers is not one of those good shows! This show is just another attempt at getting as many viewers with as little effort as possible. It will only appeal to those who seeks drama, above all else. As it stands, I am glad that this show was canceled. I give the music, child actors and plot potential a star each.

The show started innocently, everything seemed normal but then slowly the mystery creeps in and as it does you're getting sucked into the story. The Whispers is definitely not the most original show this year but it is a good one. You sort of know where it goes but you also wanna see how it plays out because the characters are somewhat interesting and the storytelling is satisfying. The history between the Benningans and Lawrences made it a little more interesting because as a viewer you know that it will hinder the progress of the investigation, which is frustrating, but at the same time you know that it's human nature. The children are the great and I mean the characters as well as the actors. They're innocent and creepy as hell at the same time and not once did they felt like stupid kids for listening to a voice in their head. The Whispers is quite the entertaining show despite using an old formula that we've seen and revisited again and again. I was on a sort of a sugar high as I watched the last seven episodes in one go. @wornoutspines

I am a huge TV/movie person. I am always watching no less than half a dozen series at one time, although, I have never had a show that compelled me to stop and write a review. This show is the one. Not only do I get to see Peter from Heroes- but I get my fix of all that I crave in a good series(not in any particular order): conspiracy, action, violence, sex, tension, mystery, intrigue, betrayal, emotion... emotion- that is what did it for me. The last half of the series has an incredible build up. I cried. I held my breath. I stood motionless for 20 minutes in the middle of the room completely forgetting my banana and chocolate ice cream mission. It stuck in my brain for hours after and I caught myself humming the intro song today while cleaning. As a wife and as a mother this show reached down deep into fears and nightmares- hid in the shadows of morality and behind the doors of grief and loss..all while being wound so tight I have caught myself holding my breath and forgetting about ice cream. Who forgets about ice cream?? If your looking for a roller coaster ride that will suck you in, churn your stomach, twist your heart, and linger in your thoughts- this show is for you.

Too many shows take themselves too seriously these days. It is especially troublesome when the show has a somewhat improbable premise. Here, it is hard to get involved in a story where the adults are so very concerned with the entity named Drill and the safety of their children, but are mostly keeping information to themselves and not raising the alarm. They all seem to think they themselves are the only chance for human survival. I sure hope not because they are some of the stupidest characters on TV. Just as an example, the child Minx. Her parents know that this invisible entity is contacting their child, that he travels via electrical wires, that me leaves a heat signature and can be monitored, that he talks to the children through the lights, etc. yet they let her sleep alone in her room, with the door closed, in a bed strewn with colored lights, even after knowing she has been contacted by the entity several times in her bed. The parents of these children also seem to loose track of them too often to demonstrate any concern. Would you let your child out of your sight if he/she was involved in this? Lighten up and give the adults some intelligence. It may be science fiction, but it still has to make sense.
