Dreadfully Boring
Matrixiole
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Frances Chung
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Randolph Spencer and Martin Brubaker were ex-Navy SEALS-turned-mercenaries who hired themselves out as soldiers of fortune for a very high fee. On their missions, Spence and Bru relied heavily on Thunder, which was a souped-up, gadget-ridden speedboat originally built by Spence for the U.S. I don't get how this was turned into a TV Series and even spunned an actual videogame too. The acting was terrible by every single person that starred in this series especially Hulk Hogan and the whole premise was just way too silly to be taken serious. (0/10)

I saw a few episodes of this series back in '94;I said it then, I'll say it again- this is the first time I've seen a boat out-act the two leads! Corny dialogue, clunky set ups (I guess they were trying to get a hit series ala Knight Rider), preposterous plots- yep, this series has it all. If you're trying to watch this as a so-bad-it's-good series (like Baywatch Nights), you will come up sadly short in this arena as well. Look elsewhere for guilty pleasures.

This is cheese as you never tasted. It wasn't that delicious before or even after. The formula of Hulk Hogan and Chris Lemmon in buddy-Sci-Fi-action-comedy meeting Baywatch is so right on nearly all the levels (forget just the levels of acting or seriousness). So simply it was chases and fest-fights, fresh – always in daylight – beach, HOT babies in their bikinis (dare you to find a girl of the background extras with one-piece swimsuit !), goofy bad guys, and a bit of childishness (rare to find a kiss or a referring to sexual relationship). It's clear that its demographic aim was no one but the teens (inside and outside us !). And it worked with a sense of humor made it like a fun, not too rich, comics.Carol Alt was as the time itself : hot. Ashley Gorrell as Jessica got a magical cute smile that managed to steal the camera many times, or all the time. Kiki Shepard as Trelawny looked, in this mix, as a bit mannish to creepy extent. Thunder in comparison was surely cooler; it's only its fast-motion image that bugged me. There are endless naive points but that come with the merchandise naturally, and thank god, at least Hogan's works are far more watchable than Segal's. I loved the theme song; it's something if you hear for one time, you'll never forget. The best episode at all was (Queen of Hearts). That was memorable piece of TV history guys. W. M. Whitehead wrote it. L. Lewis Stout directed it. And Alison Armitage dazzled, rather mind-blew, us while starring it. It's very entertaining one. But sorry.. not like Armitage herself. She's not the best actress, but she was the best hottie this show had. The camera of Stout was following her wickedly while she's wearing nothing but swimsuits. That orange one hunted me in some dreams after the first viewing. At one moment she said that "Thunder is real sexy". Well, I always thought if Thunder itself ever talked he'd say : "I melted while you were on me" !! Without further, more revealing, reminiscing.. let's say that every shot of her was too-enjoyable-it's-great. Especially if you watched it while being just about 20-year-old or younger (as what happened with me!).Generally, in this show the "Thunder" part was good. Yet the "Paradise" one was very good. Unfortunately, it was just 22 episodes series. And another Unfortunately, but on a bigger scale, since this kind of fun shows became so missed nowadays. Actually in the 2000s we have enough thunders but not one paradise ! I hope that someday these shows made a comeback. It was something for the heart not the mind. Even the mindless ones now are heartless !Finally, I remember that while airing it on TV, during my early college days, one friend of mine told me "This is a bad show. The best of it is its intro"
dear friend, since years and years I'm still pretty sure that you were lying !

Thuuuuuuuuuunder, thunder in paradise. There's a hurricane a blowing near over the water. Waiting in anticipation for the action to begin.I still remember the theme tune from when I used to watch it as a teenage. I used to like the boat and the nice location, it's kinda like poor mans Airwolf or Knight Rider (Or Knight Boat from The Simpsons.) I used to like it as a kid but i'll probably hate it now.
