ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
petersaarloos The fact that I feel a 5 is a decent score for this sitcom surprises me, because when I objectively sum up what this sitcom has to offer, it's nothing at all.First off, there's still a laughing machine. For a sitcom that is obviously meant for Britten's youth, this seems unnecessarily old school, which makes it kinda obvious they put it in to point out the jokes. I tried imaging the sitcom without it and realized that most of the jokes would probably pass you, because they're so shallow, simple or immature. The acting isn't too smashing either. It's nicely hidden by the thick accent of the cast, but the lack of quality still shimmers through every now and then.Aside from that, the jokes are often plain and simple. Most of the characters have no depth whatsoever, which makes them easy for producing jokes, but makes the show all the more shallow.I am, of course, summing up the bad parts and there surely must be some good parts, otherwise it wouldn't have kept me watching long enough to figure all this out, but I just can't put my finger on them. The only thing I could call for is that the setting is somewhat original, a couple of young people with thick accents who go to bars, but the originality is completely annihilated by the annoying laughing machine, that makes me feel as if this is supposed to be a "back to the past" sitcom. So I pass this sitcom. It has nothing to offer at all.
Pottenger This show, Is unbelievable, No word can describe it, It shows how life is in a small town, with Chavs and Chavettes, Beer and cigarettes, Johnny's character is genius, the way he acts and the way he can add comedy with expressions is amazing, and although it is the show which had the most cock-ups its still the best show to hit BBC in ages. This is by far my favourite show and I LOVE every episode. Especially the 'FAT' episode, that is hilarious. Also a very shocking TV series and shows how people may react to different events, Such as friends sleeping with your girlfriend *Gaz and Janet* and meeting a new family member *Gaz and munch* and *Louise and Her Dad*, I wish they didn't finish making this, I really think they should carry this on and make more of a series, an unbelievavle series and has my stars all the way.Dan
b_h I have seen the last 15 episode's of this amazing television series... and I think it is a fantastic show, it is very funny..:) But this last episode, I found very, sad and happy, I was glad to see that Gaz showed his feelings for Donna, they are a very cute couple, they have their up and down sides, but in the end, they cannot live without each other... but the one where Louise types that stuff about Johnny, I found very sad, because finally Janet and Johnny got back together, and then Louise says that, and it is hers fault that all the police goes after Johnny, (that is my opinion, please type back if I got it wrong).. so I think that the show ends every strange, and I must says that I found it very sad that he died...
bigbolokzmon I'll say it now; Two Pints is probably my all-time favourite TV show ever, as you can tell by the 10 out of 10 rating... But I'm gonna try my hardest to be unbiased in this review. The brainchild of a young Susan Nickson(she was only 18 when she wrote the first series), and named after the hit Splodgenessabounds song, Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps is the story of 5 mates and their quest for "Fags, Shags and Kebabs" with such subjects of discussion as "Spunk", "Crusty Curtains" and "placenta Flob" It obviously doesn't suit everybody's taste, especially if they are easily offended. This plus the fact that the issues raised in Two Pints that should be considered serious, such as "alcoholism" "adultery" and "homophobia" aren't mentioned in a serious way. This alone is enough proof for the many Two Pints haters out there... but they are all missing the point; It's a sitcom, it's meant to take the mickey out of serious issues and fans of the show will realise that if there is even a hint of seriousness in Two Pints that is where the apparently "horrific" acting skills of the cast come into play... It seems to me the cast act this way on purpose, to stay in character, and it has been documented that they act like children on set (especially Ralf and Will) and it is also known that Two Pints has the most out-takes of all the BBC 3 shows.Without trying to force people to change their opinions, I honestly think if you are into strange comedies you should watch a few episodes, I showed a friend a few episodes of series 4 earlier today and he even said he enjoyed them, not as much as me but he found it funny... It's definitely worth a watch if you like your comedy on the dodgy side, dodgy in a good way that is.
