Dorathen Better Late Then Never
Kailansorac Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
IncaWelCar In truth, any opportunity to see the film on the big screen is welcome.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Ndoggy26 Why is there only one season of this show!? This show rocked me to the core :) "Joel voice" I realize I'm a couple years late to the party but I really like this show. The animation is great, the voices are great, characters are great and it's funny with a side of warm heartening lessons thrown in there mix. I'm 31 so it reminds me a little of Beavis and Butthead without the music videos. I like how Gary and Joel are best buds and they're so positive about all kinds of aspects of life. I'm done but I need ten lines of text to officially make a review of a show so I guess I will add in that I really hope this show makes a comeback.Anyways, if there's anything I can do to help bring this show back just tell me where to sign!
jeff6851 It's not The Simpsons, it's not Archer but Unsupervised is a show with memorable characters and quotable moments. It's a show where you have to pay attention to the banter between the characters to understand the humor, there's not really any physical comedy. Most of what I found funny about the show was how naive the characters were (being 15, it's expected of them). The two main characters, Joel and Gary, come come from very sad homes. Joel has a 40 year old, drug addict brother and two parents in their 60s or 70s. Gary's dad left when he was very young and only has an apathetic stepmom to take care of him. Despite this, the two are optimistic about life. Most episodes involve Gary and Joel discovering something they don't like (they're too young to give blood, no one respects local firefighters) and try to fix this in their own way (such as getting fake IDs to give blood or setting fires to buildings to make the firemen seem important).Unfortunately, the show is very short, only 13 episodes. Because of this, however, every episode is special and will mean something to the viewer.
trikc-1 I don't right reviews, ever. But this show has gotten some bad press. The comparison to Bevis and Butthead is short. This is like B&B if they had actual personalities. And the west PA accent on Joel is awesome. The dialog is fantastic. I don't see how any of that is like B&B. I don't right reviews, ever. But this show has gotten some bad press. thedottedlion "Unsupervised", though a little subtler than it's lead in, is actually a great adult cartoon. It's a step up in animation from the usual cable cartoons, and it has something that I feel has been missing from TV animation for a while... good characters and thoughtful stories. The two main kids are a bit like a sweet-hearted Beavis and Butthead, and they're surrounded by a funny and diverse cast of supporting characters. Anyone who grew up poor can identify with a few things from the first two episodes, which is maybe why so few people seem to understand this little gem.The stories of the first two episodes are actual stories, which is good news for people who may tire from the shotgun approach of, say, every Seth Mcfarlane show (I like them, but you get the point). So if this alternatively cute and foul show gets canceled, you only have yourself to blame the next time you complain about the current trend of non sequitur jokes and one dimensional characters.
