Synopsis

Jaye Tyler, a recent Brown University graduate with a philosophy degree, holds a dead-end job as a sales clerk at a Niagara Falls gift shop. Jaye is the reluctant participant in conversations with various animal figurines — a wax lion, brass monkey, stuffed bear, and mounted fish, among others — which direct her via oblique instructions to help people in need.

SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Joanna Mccarty Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
adampkalb I like Jaye Taylor because while she is a lot like Georgia Lass from Dead Like Me in many ways, she is a little more interesting and likable than George. I don't know much about the show, and it's pretty forgettable, which could be why it only had 13 episodes, but I already like it way more than Dead Like Me after seeing 2 episodes of both, and it's a little funny to see the talking artifacts guide Jaye in her life. Did you know Ellen Muth also played another Georgia in Hannibal who thought she was dead and had a mental illness that drove her to kill people?
tickin I had never heard of this show until recently when a friend lent me the DVD set. Despite eight years it remains refreshing and unique.Funny (actually at times it's extremely funny), sensitive, unpredictable, and totally endearing. The cast do an extraordinary job. It's the type of show that could easily go off the rails but each actor reins it back just enough to make the show balance perfectly at the edge... and the result is an absolute joy watch.Caroline Dhavernas shines. She brings so many believable qualities to Jaye that at times I wanted to scoop her up and hug her... which of course would have made Jaye furious... and therefore all the more real. Dhavernas manages to carry Jaye from a cynical, determined underachiever to frantic guardian angel with so many perfectly placed steps that the change seems natural, expected. Dhavernas doesn't abandon Jaye basic character, she matures it beautifully into the new Jaye. It's a great piece of work. One of my favourite scenes comes towards the end of the series when Heidi rummages around Jaye's trailer and sees all the muses tenderly arranged in a semi-circle at the end of the bed... very touching.Needless to say I adored the thirteen episodes. If you get a chance to see Wonderfalls I highly recommend it.
MelJJ123 It's so rare to find a WOW show on TV. Especially a WOW with heart, wit, and passion! And that was Wonderfalls. I stumbled upon this amazing show by pure accident (or was it :) I had not heard about it when it was originally on FOX, but then I don't really get involved in many new shows these days. Anyway, during a night of channel surfing and multi-tasking I stopped momentarily on a random cable station. I can't even say that I was paying attention to the TV, but for some reason, within a few minutes of having it on in the background, I found myself drawn into what I would later learn was: Wonderfalls! I thought to myself... wow, what is this show?! It's quirky, it's refreshingly different, I strangely liked the characters immediately! Afterwards, I wrote down the name of the show, did a little research and surprisingly learned that Wonderfalls had its own little cult following. (Very much deserved btw). Now, I don't normally... or ever, buy a TV series on DVD... especially for a show that i've only seen 1 episodes of.. but after that one little taste of Wonderfalls, I had the distinct feeling that I would and could be hooked. Well fast forward months later, and having just finished watching the entire series on DVD, I can honestly say that I loved every single episode, and I'm really sad it's over! I thought the writing was strikingly smart, the characters were all portrayed brilliantly, and the chemistry between Jaye and Eric -- just spark after spark after spark! I'm convinced that this show could have been a huge hit with proper marketing and scheduling. Quality doesn't come around often, but this was the real deal. What a WASTE. If you haven't seen it yet, buy the DVD!
